For new products, Garmin has announced the GPSMAP 478 and GPSMAP 378 Chartplotter and Automotive Navigator combination units.  The GPSMAP 478 and GPSMAP 378 will be the first system fully loaded with both Garmin marine cartography and City Navigator NT.  The GPSMAP 478 features BlueChart g2 provides marine maps for the United States East Coast, West Coast, and Great Lakes.  Check out our Garmin BlueChart g2 guide by clicking here.  The GPSMAP 378 contains detail for a wide range on inland lakes within in the Continental US.  City Navigator, found on both models provides detailed turn-by-turn driving directions for any address in North America, and the included auto kit gives you voice directions as well.  This represents the ultimate hybrid unit, and the successors to the excellent GPSMAP 376 and GPSMAP 276.  You can complete your car and boat system by adding GSD sonar and XM Satellite radio and weather, as well.  For more information, click here.
